Turtles’ bodies are made of black marble from the jungle area around Riobamba. The turtle shells are made from onyx from Cuenca. The fossilferous marble shells on these serpentine turtles is ancient and vary widely in color and pattern.
This turtle measures 5 inches or 12-13cm from head to toe.
